About Senedd Election
The 2026 Senedd Cymru (Welsh Parliament) election takes place on Thursday 7 May 2026. For the first time, 96 members will be elected (up from 60) across 16 new multi-member constituencies using a closed proportional list system. Polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm.
